Mass Telecom Innovation Plc (MTI Plc) seeks to recruit qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies in its subsidiary companies (MTI Engineering Services Limited, Mass Power Integrated Services Limited, MTI Unities Network Services Limited) in Abuja and Lagos1. Managing director –(mti/mp/01/09)-abujaThe person • must have outstanding background in the power/energy sector of the economy• must possess a strong business development and project financing skills• adequate knowledge of the power industry and current trends in the market• possession of strategy & organizational management skills• must possess general management skills (including leadership assertiveness, integrity, personnel / team development, communication)• business analysis and risk management• financial analysis, budgeting, cost management• resources management • strategy planning• interpersonal/networking skillsJob qualifications• a good honours degree in engineering, energy studies energy economics, physics, mathematics or statistics• relevant second degree and master is compulsory• member of relevant professional bodies will be an advantageJob experiences• minimum of 18 years post graduate experience in one or more of the following areas-energy/power, electricity industry and market analysis/ operation, energy and electricity demand modeling and planning

General manager-power (mti/mp/02/09)-abujaThe person• must have outstanding background in the power/energy sector of the economy• must possess a strong business development and project financial skills• adequate knowledge of the power industry and current trends in the market• possession of strategy & organizational management skills • excellent negotiation skill• must be computer literate• interpersonal, communication and leadership skillsJob qualifications• a good honours degree in engineering, energy studies, energy economics, physics, mathematics or statistics• relevant second degree and masters is compulsory• member of relevant professional bodies will be an advantageJob experiences• minimum of 18 years post graduate experience in one or more of the following areas-energy / power, electricity industry and market analysis/operation, energy and electricity demand modeling and planning• must have spend a minimum of 8 years in an executive management
3. Group financial controller-mti/ho/01/09-lagosThe person • must demonstrate strong financial and business management capabilities• good analytical/numerical/presentation/organizational skills• sound credit analysis and appraisal skills• strong supervisory and leadership skills• strong marketing and relationship management skills• ability to use software accounting packagesJob qualifications• a good honours degree in accounting, banking & finance, or economics • relevant second degree and master is compulsory• member of relevant professional bodies (ican, acca) will be an advantageJob experience• minimum of 20 years relevant work experience, 15 of which must be at management level within a structured organization are necessary requirement
4. Head internal audit- mti/oh/02/09-lagosThe person• must possess ability of internal auditing experience• interpersonal skills• strong knowledge of a variety of control environments in depth knowledge of the telecommunications industry • analytical skills• core accounting skills• ability to think strategically and at the highest conceptual level• in depth knowledge of internal audit standards.Job qualification • a good honours degree in accounting,• relevant second degree and master is compulsory• member of relevant professional bodies (ican, acca) will be an advantageJob experience • minimum of 8 years relevant work experience, with at least 5 internal audits
5. Head, human resources-mti/ho/03/09-lagosThe person • must have strong decision making qualities• teamwork and interpersonal skills• oral and communicational skills• creativity• knowledge of hr policies and procedures• knowledge of designing systems and structures and the implementation of performance management, compensation and benefits, personnel management, recruitment and reward systemsJob qualifications• b.sc. In social science, pgd in human resources management• relevant professional /post graduate qualification will be an added advantage e.g nim, cipmnJob experience• 5 years experience with at least 2 years leading a hr/administration function covering the range of hr activities from payroll, employment policies, remuneration, recruitment and development, change management orientation e.t.c
6. Head, accounts- mti/ho/04/09-lagos & abujaThe person• must have skills• ability to produce useful management accounts that enable others to maintain an accurate overview and a good understanding of the financial situation • seeking innovative ways of ensuring systems are effective to enable financial functions to be done efficiently (maintain and review internal controls). For example: making sure that all bills receive are authorized by the person, allocated to the expense account, and the supplier paid on time• advanced knowledge of microsoft excel• financial analysis and interpretation skills• analytical skills• accounts preparation and bank reconciliation skills • supervisory skills• teamwork and interpersonal skills• attention to detail• initiativeJob qualifications• a first degree in accounting• relevant professional /post graduate qualification will be an added advantage e.g. icanJob experience • minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in related job function
7. Head it-mti/ho/06/09-lagosJob qualification /experience• bachelor degree in computing or information technology with 8 years direct and relevant experience within the telecoms industry including 4 years s in senior supervisory position. In addition to it, you should have specialized training in programming, system analysis, it project management and it strategies and also, experience in implementing financial application packages would be an advantage.
8. Head, corporate communications –mti/ho/06/09-lagosJob qualification/experience• a bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree/professional qualification in business will be an added advantage. The successful candidate will have a track record and minimum of 10 years of communications leadership experience within a corporate or agency environment
9. National rollout manager-mti/ho/07/09-lagosThe person • must demonstrate strong managerial experience in project time management• good analytical /planning /presentation /organizational skills• experience in matrix management structure• excellent negotiation skills• experience in customer project management• strong supervisory and leadership management skills • must be able to work under pressure• must have worked for a telecoms operator in nigeriaJob qualification /experience• a good honours degree in civil engineering or electrical and electronics engineering,• relevant second degree or professional experience• minimum of 10 years relevant work experience and project management for base station related works –civil, electromechanical, rf, microwave etc
10. Business development manager-mti/mp/03/09-abujaThe person• must demonstrate strong managerial experience• excellent negotiation skills• experience in customer relationship/sales• strong supervisory and leadership skills• excellent marketing and relationship management skills• must be able to work under pressure• must have worked in the power sector of the economyJob qualification/ experience• a good honors degree in social science• post graduate qualification i.e. mba would be an added advantage• minimum of 8 years relevant work experience with at least five years in related job function
